Patrick H. Roddy joined the Firm seven years ago bringing twenty-four years of experience in public policymaking in Maryland.  Mr. Roddy has held various State executive branch offices, including assistant to a former Lieutenant Governor and assistant to the State’s Secretary of Economic Development.  He has also held numerous high level positions in county government, including most recently, Assistant Baltimore County Attorney.  Mr. Roddy has held positions of importance with the past four Baltimore County Executives.  Mr. Roddy brings to the firm an extensive knowledge of Maryland taxation, land use, procurement, leasing, finance and public budgeting.  He has  recently being appointed by the Maryland Speaker of the House and the Maryland Senate President to a committee to revise Maryland’s alcoholic beverage law. Mr. Roddy is experienced in practicing before all local legislative and quasijudicial bodies including County Councils and Boards of Appeal.  He has an extensive knowledge of the Maryland General Assembly and has advocated for legislation and budget appropriations during the last 31 sessions. Recently, he has successfully worked on legislative issues for L-1, PEPCO, FedEx, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, the Maryland Optometrists, the Maryland Wine Association, the Maryland New Car and Truck Dealers and the Grocery Manufacturers of America.  Mr. Roddy holds degrees from Towson University, The Johns Hopkins University and the University of Baltimore School of Law.
